“ The Birthday Party ”

Writing Practice – Finish the Story

Directions: Read the story below. Then finish it with your own writing.

Today is my birthday. I am having a big party at my house. I invited everyone in my class. I hope that they all come.

My doorbell is ringing. I answer it. Three of my friends are at the door! The rest of my friends arrive. It is time for the party to begin.

First, we play games. We play pin the tail on the donkey. Jasmine wins. My mom gives her a prize.

She is very happy. I am happy that my friends are having fun. We also play tag and musical chairs.

Next, we eat cake. My favorite kind of cake is chocolate with vanilla icing. My mom made a special cake for me. She wrote “Happy Birthday” on it in red icing. Mom lights the candles. My friends sing the birthday song. I make a wish and blow outmy candles.

Now it is time to open presents. Jack hands me the first present. I unwrap it and open the box. I am so surprised when unboxing the box because the there’s a beautiful a pair of shoes, the color was beutiful, I would like to wear it.

And the second present is from my bestfriend, she is Jennifer. She wrote some message on a piece of paper for me and she put the paper on envelope then put in the box present. I read the message on the front of my friends. Those message was so sweet, I am so happy when I read this message. She wish that I will be good daughter for my parents, always be a good student.

After that, my friends, my family, and I having dinner together. The menu are corn soup, spicy tuna, cheese french fries,cap cay, chicken cordon bleu, chicken schnitzel, red velvet cake, lemon tea. My family and my friends were very happy and they are so enjoyed the party. They are laugh together.

And then one by one of my friends make a wish for me. They are give some good wish for me, may the wishes come true. I hug all my friends and my parents as my thanks to all who give me some wish.

Then my mom share all souvenirs to all my friends, my friends looks so happy. And then they are would like to go to home. They are leave the party with happiness.

This is the beutiful moment in my life. I will never to forget it. Thank you so much for my parents and to all my friends
